The Golden Gate Railroad Museum in San Francisco is the proud owner of the Silver Rifle. This dome saw Amtrak service as #9454 until the early 1980s, when it was stored. GGRM is currently in the process of raising the funds and finding the pieces to restore the car, and the following items/funds are needed (if you can help, please contact them at the email address on their web site):

• Glazing and weather stripping $3000-$5000 (we have dome glass)
• Upholstery and carpeting $10,000 - $30,000
• HEP pass through $35,000 installed
• Stainless repair to some fluting, vest doors, end doors $2000
• There is a whole host of smaller items that are needed, the cost of which adds up quickly!

They are also looking for other pieces that have been stolen over the years. If you know of a good source of Budd parts, please contact Mike Mangini.
