The Silver Lariat, following its CZ days, wandered the country as Amtrak 9452 until 1985. From 1985 to 1990, it has been completely overhauled and the interior was reconfigured to feature 44 reclining coach seats as well as a dining area on the lower level and 24 seats with lounge tables in the dome. It is now owned and operated by California Zephyr Railcar Charters, headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA.
